On Monday, March 25, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the comprehensive schedule for the Indian Premier League 2024. The tournament's finale is scheduled to be held on May 26 at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.
According to the BCCI, the league matches are scheduled to continue until May 19, with the two qualifiers set for May 21 and 24 respectively. Additionally, the eliminator is slated for May 22.
The IPL managing committee of the BCCI has unveiled the complete schedule encompassing 70 matches, including the previously announced 21 league matches and an additional 49. Furthermore, the schedule includes 2 qualifier matches, an eliminator, and the final match.
In its press release, the BCCI announced that Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium is set to host an electrifying Qualifier 1 showdown on May 21, followed by the thrilling Eliminator on May 22.
Qualifier 2 and the grand final are scheduled to be held in Chennai, the home ground of reigning champions Chennai Super Kings. Qualifier 2, featuring the runner-up of Qualifier 1 against the victor of the Eliminator, will take place on May 24, followed by the championship match on Sunday, May 26.
Previously, the BCCI had only unveiled the schedule for 21 matches until April 7, considering the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 timetable.
